Israel's pipe-dream?

▐"Israel stands to benefit greatly from the US led war on Iraq, primarily by getting rid of an implacable foe in President Saddam Hussein and the threat from the weapons of mass destruction he was alleged to possess. But it seems the Israelis have other things in mind. An intriguing pointer to one potentially significant benefit was a report by Haaretz on 31 March that minister for national infrastructures Joseph Paritzky was considering the possibility of reopening the long-defunct oil pipeline from Mosul to the Mediterranean port of Haifa.

With Israel lacking energy resources of its own and depending on highly expensive oil from Russia, reopening the pipeline would transform its economy.... All of this lends weight to the theory that Bush's war is part of a masterplan to reshape the Middle East to serve Israel's interests. Haaretz quoted Paritzky as saying that the pipeline project is economically justifiable because it would dramatically reduce Israel's energy bill. US efforts to get Iraqi oil to Israel are not surprising. Under a 1975 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the US guaranteed all Israel's oil needs in the event of a crisis. The MoU, which has been quietly renewed every five years, also committed the USA to construct and stock a supplementary strategic reserve for Israel, equivalent to some US$3bn in 2002.

Special legislation was enacted to exempt Israel from restrictions on oil exports from the USA. Moreover, the USA agreed to divert oil from its home market, even if that entailed domestic shortages, and guaranteed delivery of the promised oil in its own tankers if commercial shippers were unwilling or not available to carry the crude to Israel. All of this adds up to a potentially massive financial commitment. The USA has another reason for supporting Paritzky's project: a land route for Iraqi oil direct to the Mediterranean would lessen US dependence on Gulf oil supplies. Direct access to the world's second-largest oil reserves (with the possibility of expansion through so-far untapped deposits) is an important strategic objective."

"Theater Iran Near Term" (TIRANNT)

I guess G. W. Bush conversed with «his god» again, who told him: **I hereby order you to bomb Iran, ASAP!** - The President's action has a very positive angle though: if a nuke-war brakes out, humanity shall never have to worry about global warming, again!

By Michel Chossudovsky

02/23/07 "Global Research" - DUBAI, UAE, 21 February 2007. (revised 23 Feb 2007). Code named by US military planners as TIRANNT, "Theater Iran Near Term" has identified several thousand targets inside Iran as part of a "Shock and Awe" Blitzkrieg, which is now in its final planning stages.

According to the Kuwait-based Arab Times, an attack on Iran under TIRANNT could occur any time between late February and the end of April. This assessment, however, does not take into account the disarray of US ground forces in Iraq as well as the untimely withdrawal of several thousand British troops from the Iraq war theater, many of whom were stationed in Southern Iraq on the immediate border with Iran. ... «Web of Deceit»

▐ Saddam Hussein - The Trial You'll Never See

Made for European television this film -- in 7 parts here -- was never broadcasted in North America. The horrifying truth is the extent to which we in the west have been complicit.

«Bush lacks political power...!»

On January 7, 2007, the London Times reported that it has learned from “several Israeli military sources” that “Israel has drawn up secret plans to destroy Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities with tactical nuclear weapons.” [Revealed: Israel plans nuclear strike on Iran, by Uzi Mahnami and Sara Butler]

The Times also reports that

“Israeli and American officials have met several times to consider military action. Military analysts said the disclosure of the plans could be intended to put pressure on Tehran to halt enrichment, cajole America into action or soften up world opinion in advance of an Israeli attack.”
In other news reports -- Israeli general suggests to use Azerbaijan’s airbases in strike against Iran -- Israeli General Oded Tira is quoted as follows:
“President Bush lacks the political power to attack Iran. As an American strike in Iran is essential for our existence, we must help him pave the way by lobbying the Democratic Party (which is conducting itself foolishly) and US newspaper editors. We need to do this in order to turn the Iranian issue to a bipartisan one and unrelated to the Iraq failure.”

«Target Iran»

“Let there be no doubt: If there is an American war with Iran, it is a war that was made in Israel and nowhere else.” -former senior U.N, Weapons Inspector in Iraq, Scott Ritter.

An article in The Jewish Forward by Nathan Guttman reveals that «Scott Ritter’s new book exposes Israel and Jewish extremists around the world as the driving force behind a planned war with Iran.»

A former United Nations weapons inspector and leading Iraq War opponent, Scott Ritter, has written a new book «Target Iran» alleging that «Jerusalem is pushing the Bush administration into war with Iran, and accusing the pro-Israel lobby of dual loyalty and “outright espionage".»

Scott Ritter, who served as a senior U.N. weapons inspector in Iraq from 1991 to 1998 and later became one of the war’s staunchest critics, argues that «the United States is readying for military action against Iran, using its nuclear program as a pretext for pursuing regime change in Tehran.»

“The Bush administration, with the able help of the Israeli government and the pro-Israel Lobby, has succeeded,” Ritter writes, “in exploiting the ignorance of the American people about nuclear technology and nuclear weapons so as to engender enough fear that the American public has more or less been pre-programmed to accept the notion of the need to militarily confront a nuclear armed Iran.”

Who Is Nancy Pelosi?

US-election? NOTHING HAS CHANGED!
Congresswoman House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, California, 8th District
Pelosi On Israel
Pelosi is 100% behind Israel, and stated "The creation of the State of Israel is one of the miracles of the twentieth century." -- Pelosi overlooks Israel’s brutal treatment of the Palestinians, and doesn't mention Israel’s massive nuclear, chemical and biological weapons arsenal. Pelosi’s view of Muslims versus Americans and Israelis is racist.
Regarding Iran
According to Pelosi, the biggest danger to Israel today comes from Iran, whose nuclear ambitions, though still unproved, also threaten the US. /more/
