Blair gives support to “good friend" Ferenc
Sooooooo!.... who cares Gyurcsány lied to the people morning noon and night? And who cares G. W. Bush and Blair lied to the people about the Iraq war, terrorism and just about everything? After all, "democracy is a difficult thing"...

London October 12, 2006 -- Tony Blair has offered support to Hungary's Prime Minister, while paying tribute to those involved in the country's uprising against Soviet rule in 1956. -- The PM attended a reception at the House of Commons to remember the uprising against Soviet rule, the BBC reported. He also paid tribute to his "good friend" Ferenc Gyurcsány, who won a confidence vote in Parliament last week that he called for, after opposition parties demanded his resignation after a leaked tape in which he admitted lying about the true state of the economy to win re-election in April. There were riots as well last month sparked by the recording.
"Democracy is a difficult thing, as we all know. It requires the greatest leadership and decision making and I'm delighted I've got my good friend Ferenc, the Hungarian prime minister, who's had his fair share of difficult decisions to take and has done so with a great deal of courage."He paid tribute to those involved in the "inspiring" uprising, saying it showed "ultimately you can never suppress the human desire to live in liberty." [Such hypocrisy and propaganda! tj] Thousands of people died and hundreds of thousands fled the country when the Soviets crushed the 1956 uprising [with the support of the West!-tj] "In October 1956 we [WE? Who is "WE" ??? Now he has become a freedomfighter? -tj] did not (just) fight for the free and democratic Hungary, but also for the creation of a Europe that was not divided," Gyurcsány said. "That fight was not in vain, even if it would be not until a generation later that the victory came."
